Sweden vs Colombia
- South American women's footy is terrible compared to Europe and there's a massive drop off after Brazil which is why the Brazilian women have lost just 1 game in qualifying history. Argentina was South America's 2nd rep in 2007 and 2003 and went a combined 0-0-6 2/33 and Colombia are currently ranked just 2 spots ahead of Argentina in the FIFA rankings. Sweden are one of the best teams in the world, currently 5th in FIFA, and the last time they played a team outside of the world's top 16 they beat Wales 5-1. Certainly will be a Sweden win and I like it by 2+ even though no big favorite has covered so far.

colombia defender just barely cleared ball of line in opening seconds...then, colombia goalie made really nice save before a crazy miss on open net at 12th minute. Sweden completely dominating and pretty shocking to see 0-0. Huge class difference and still think sweden wins this 2-0 or 3-0. We'll see

bad 1H for usa but much better 2h. i hope they draw or lose and then i can get -2 on the saturday match vs colombia. I expect usa to win this though and -2.5 saturday

btw, north korea are very good. top 10 in world, #2 in asia

i dont think you will see -2.5 on saturday, at least not when the line comes out. usa have not been killing of late and columbia looked reasonable in the first game. id expect -1.5 with heavy juice or -2 around -120

I have USA -2. Maybe we can get some nice 2nd half goals and a 3-0 final.

This WC hasn't had the blowouts of the past..........when we saw some 11-0 and 6-0 type of scores.

with Germany out both teams know this quarterfinal match is likely the most difficult game to win the title. USA are much deeper than Brazil, better tactically, much bigger, but don't have that Marta-type player. Don't forget that Marta plays in WPS and will be nothing special for USA to face. I'll grab the better team at nice plus odds

while I'll be rooting the US on and not wagering I believe the value in that match is on France +1/2 at odds around 1.80

The US had to play 55 minutes with 10 players yesterday, played probably 130 minutes in total (adding in all the stoppage time at HT, FT, ET) and the defenders, in particular, were doing a lot of outright sprints to keep in front of Marta and company. Then you have the whole emotional angle of fighting back from bad officiating to draw level in 122nd minute then win it in penalties. They are likely physically and mentally exhausted and haven't rotated squad much at all in the tourney with 10 players that have taken part in all 4 matches. Both Rampone and Krieger, in defense, have played all 390' while the other two, Cheney and Le Peilbet, have played 325'. Same at FW where Wambach, their only proven goal scorer, has played every minute of the tourney.

France also has an extra day to prepare and have just 2 players, Bussaglia and Georges, that posted the full 390' in the tourney with 17 players logging at least 90'.

tough spot for USA this week...hopefully they overcome it but I wouldn't make them a full -1/2 favorite and IMO big value on the French
